Mr. Harrel brings 16 years of experience as a Communications Specialist, Service Manager and Project Manager in the fields of Voice, Data, Video and classified cryptology systems. He has extensive project experience ranging from daily service up through 4000 node network upgrades supporting cable systems, PBX installations and network equipment upgrades.
Mr. Harrel holds a top secret security clearance with the U. S. Government stemming from his work in classified facilities around the world. Tom graduated from Navy Bee and ETA School at Great Lakes Naval Station, Illinois, graduating at the head of his class. He attended Naval Cryptology School and became an expert on cryptology systems including KY 58/59, KX 13 and Vinson. He has been a member of the Tomahawk missile test team and has worked on a wide range of equipment including LF/HF/UHF transceivers, microwave landline link system, satellite transceiver and cryptology equipment.
After 7 years in the United States Navy, Mr. Harrel began his career in the communications industry working on the following; early 10BaseT networks, legacy systems, AT&T and Mitel PBX systems, CATV, satellite on Naval Submarine Bases at Bangor and Pearl Harbor. He received extensive training on LAN/WAN networks receiving extensive training in the areas of Fiber Optics, Voice/Data cable systems and intercom/paging installations.
